from Lake Bled in north-west Slovenia.

Slovenia is located at the eastern end of the Alps, bordering Italy, Austria & Croatia. The Chalet is situated 6km from the Austrian border and 35km from the Italian border. It is one hours drive from the country’s historic capital, Ljubljana and 10 minutes drive from Lake Bled, Slovenia’s number one tourist destination. Slovenia is a very green and mountainous country with over half of its terrain covered in woodland. About the size of Wales, the country has much to offer, with majestic mountains and lakes in the north-west, natural spas and vineyards to the east and beautiful Mediterranean style beach resorts to the west.

Skiing is the popular pastime in winter and the chalet is well situated with easy access to 4 ski resorts. Walking/hiking is the popular activity during the spring, summer and autumn. Other activities include white water rafting, fishing, golf, mountain biking, horse riding, swimming and ice skating.

Lake Bled:
Lake Bled lays in a perfect setting, surrounded by mountains there can be few places more beautiful. In the middle of the lake is an island with a historic medieval church which is a popular choice for couples getting married. The Castle overlooks the lake situated on top of a cliff face. The town is built around the north shore of the lake and is equipped with a good selection of coffee shops, bars and restaurants.

Self Catering Accommodation:
Our self catering chalet accommodation is located in beautiful surroundings and is presented with an alpine feel. Set within it’s own grounds the chalet is very well equipped to cater for family needs. It also has a sauna which is a great feature especially after a long days walking or skiing.

If not content with the vast number of local attractions around Lake Bled you can visit Ljubljana (the capital of Slovenia), enjoy the exhilarating white water rafting available in the Soca valley around Bovec, or travel to the world famous Postojna caves.
